For Javaughn Spencer, operational thinking came naturally. Throughout her career across education, nonprofits, and tech, she found herself constantly stepping into leadership roles, not just because she was decisive, but because she knew how to build strong teams and design systems that could thrive without her constant presence.
She realized she had a unique ability to see challenges clearly, break them down into workable pieces, and create solutions that made organizations stronger.
Over time, it became clear: this wasn't a skill everyone had and it was a skill many organizations desperately needed. Instead of trying to fit into roles that did not fully reflect her strengths, Javaughn decided to build something around the way she naturally worked best.
Spencer & Spencer LLC is the result, a company rooted in operational design, practical strategy, and empowering leaders to move from vision to sustainable growth.

Founder & CEO
Javaughn Spencer is a project management and operational design professional with a passion for helping organizations move from vision to action.
She brings deep experience in operational strategy, school startup consulting, nonprofit systems design, and leadership development.
Her natural ability to break down complex challenges, build strong internal systems, and empower teams has shaped her approach to helping mission-driven organizations grow sustainably and work with clarity.
Through Spencer & Spencer, Javaughn partners with leaders to build stronger foundations — helping schools, nonprofits, and businesses move from ideas to lasting impact.
Robert Spencer
Founder & Creative Director
Robert Spencer is a digital artist, educator, and creative strategist passionate about storytelling, representation, and identity.
Born to Jamaican parents in Queens, NY, Robert’s early love of anime and visual storytelling evolved into a broader exploration of cultural narratives through art.
He studied architecture at the University of Hartford, where experiences around race, representation, and storytelling deepened his commitment to using creative work as a tool for change.
After beginning his career as a teaching artist and site director in New York, Robert transitioned to digital media, using art to challenge perceptions of beauty and elevate overlooked communities.
Now based in Charlotte, NC, Robert balances his work as an educator with creative leadership at Spencer & Spencer, where he helps organizations bring their missions to life through thoughtful, resonant design.
